Empowering women?

Girls and women aren't separate species from men and boys!; furthermore, if we are XX, males are XY, which means that they share an X too. Their Mom, gf, wife, daughters and grandaughters are part of their life. We' re like 'part of them', and they're 'part of us'. Then, why is it that they see us as if we were like... inferior; as if we were only here to please and obey them?
