‘Rosie’s Little Cafe on the Riviera’ is a well written story about three single English women who had settled on the French Riviera: Rosie, whose dream of opening a little French cafe finally came true; GeeGee who was in desperate financial straits; and Erica, whose beloved husband died in a car crash. But if life isn’t easy, they will embrace challenges and overcome difficulties. The charming atmosphere of the Cote d’Azur, the main characters’ determination and perseverance (with the help of their relatives), and love that lurks behind every corner will combine and ultimately help them to triumph over adversity. A beautiful story, indeed! What I liked the most, however, is that ‘Rosie’s Little Cafe on the Riviera’ describes the three main characters’ daily lives, their hopes and their fears, in a highly sensitive and realistic manner. And of course, there’s the serenity of the French Riviera…
