My Book Review > "Helen of Troy: beauty, myth, devastation". ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

A fabulous book, a rich and quasi exhaustive analysis of Helen as portrayed by poets, philosophers, influencers, from Homer to Euripide, Gorgias, or Isocrates.

Obviously, Helen has always been, an remains, culturally and intellectually omnipresent, sometimes seen as an innocent victim, a goddess or a whore.

She's definitely an immense figure, paradoxically portraying patriarchal societies. If she is "the most beautiful woman", she also represents every woman ♀️
